40+ Great Danes Seized by  Riverside County Animal Control!

The canines were taken from a Great Dane rescue center on Markham St. in Glen Valley to Riverside Animal Control. Forty-five of the dogs were Great Danes. The owners were arrested. The dogs were confiscated by Riverside Animal Control. The dogs were found to be in very crowded conditions littered with feces. Several of the dogs were in need of veterinary care. Food was present for the dogs, but they were in need of water. The owner was charged with cruelty to animals. The owner had been warned previously to reduce the number of dogs in the facility, and to clean up the conditions.

Dog rescue shelter called unhealthy

NORCO: Actor Burt Ward's facility is substandard, council members are told.

NORCO - About a dozen dog rescuers from Southern California appeared before the Norco City Council on Wednesday, accusing a local shelter of keeping animals in substandard conditions.

At a council meeting, the group asked city leaders to revoke the operating permit for Gentle Giants Rescue and Adoptions, a nonprofit rescue shelter at the home of Burt and Tracy Ward. . . .
